“With my illustration for léger, I wanted to capture the lightness and joy of this granola. My character moves through the world with an easy step and a little smile... because pleasure and joy go so wonderfully well together.

For me, the léger project is also a return to an almost forgotten craft: illustration as a language that conveys movement, emotion and personality.

Colin Chapman’s thought, ‘Simplify, then add lightness’, has accompanied this process, and I’m already looking forward to every new edition and its own interpretation of léger. Light, playful and always new.”
